Issue 9 of the journal Nostos contains poetry and works of art addressing the loss of nature and the sustaining forces of nature. Poems by Jane Hirshfield start off this edition with their power and grace. Poets Annie Cody Holdren, Xaioly Li, Deborah Buchanan, Shutta Crum, Walker Abel, and others beautifully and melodically and sometimes mournfully express the value of a relationship with nature, an understanding of the devastation with its loss.
