Nostos: Poetry, Art, and Fiction Issue #10
Nostos is a periodical literary magazine, and this is the tenth issue. Its theme of "homecoming" is the same theme as the one used for the first issue almost ten years ago. This edition is especially good with 13 poets, an essayist, a fine artist, and a short story writer. B.H. Fairchild's poem "The Dumka" leads off the work, and it is a stunningly beautiful poem. The poets contributing their work include Rebecca Foust (former Poet Laureate of Marin County, Elizabeth Herron (former Poet Laureate of Sonoma County), and award-winning poets Jane Shlensky and Meryl Natchez. A brilliant and thoughtful essay about "home" is offered by teacher and philosopher John Marmysz. James Tipton has written three extraordinary short stories about journeys home. And Lorna Stevens created three evocative art pieces just for this edition.
